Where Standard 1401 or 1401plus are mentioned, they will be usable, but significant features of the software may not be available.

We have tried as hard as possible to make sure that the information on Windows version compatibility is correct, but there may be circumstances where old software with new Windows versions (or vice-versa) give problems.

The complete list of 1401 types (in order of development) is: Standard 1401, 1401plus, Micro1401 mk 1, Power1401 mk 1, Micro1401 mk 2, Power1401 mk 2, Micro-3.

Notes:

  1. These software versions are no longer supported by CED. We will try to find work-rounds for any problems, but if we cannot, the only answer will be for the user to upgrade.
  2. These software versions will work on Windows XP but probably not on Vista/Win7.
  3. These software versions will run on Vista/Win7, but there may be installation issues and you will need to download and install WinHelp for Vista (from Microsoft) in order to get the online help to work.
  4. These software versions may run on Windows 95, but we cannot test this.
