To access the host card within a micro1401 mk 1
You will need to use a small cross-pointed screwdriver, and maybe a 2 mm hex key, and to keep several sets of small screws safe.
Switch off the micro1401 and remove all cables connected to it.
Put the micro1401 on a clear bench with the rear facing you.
Remove the four countersunk screws from the rear panel. These may be cross-head or hex socket style.
Move the panel to one side, still attached by its grounding cable.
Slide out the black top panel from the micro1401 outer case.
Slide the metal inner case assembly back to get access to its grounding cable.
Remove the screw and washer that fix the grounding cable to the inner chassis.
Slide the inner chassis completely out.
Remove the six screws with lock-washers that fix the top of the inner chassis to the base unit.
Lift the top of the inner chassis and remove it.
You can now see the host card, on the left.
Remove the two screws that fix it to the connector mounting plate, facing you.
