Power1401 mk1 firmware - V 19,

05/11

You will need to refer to these installation instructions once you have down-loaded the file. Please print this page before you start the work.

The firmware update package is a single expandable file. The expanded package includes a number of files with the extension .FLI.

PC: pow1ud19.zip

  1. Make a new directory on your hard disk and call it Power.
  2. Down-load pow1ud19.zip and save it in the new directory.
  3. Run the file, to expand the contents.

Once you have expanded the .FLI files do the following:

  1. Turn the Mode switch on the rear panel of your Power1401 to position 2.
  2. Switch off your Power1401, then switch it on again.
  3. Run the Try1401 application (supplied with Spike2, Signal and the 1401 Windows Installation disk) and run one pass of the tests to be sure that your 1401 is operating correctly.
  4. Use the File menu Update Flash Memory option and select one of the .FLI files (it does not matter which).
Click the OK button when you are asked if you are sure you want to update an area.
  5. Repeat step 4 for each of the remaining .FLI files then close the Try1401 program.
  6. Switch your Power1401 off, set the Mode switch to position 3 and switch it on again.

Your Power1401 is now ready for use. You can verify correct operation with the Try1401 test options. It is important that you install all the files provided, as new features in one file may depend on new features in another.

If your Power1401 does not operate correctly after the update, repeat steps 1 to 6. If it still does not operate as expected, set the mode switch back to position 2 to restore the factory settings (so you can continue to use it) and contact CED for assistance.

Please tell us a little about yourself for our records, and then you can down-load the update.
